Skipping is one of the simplest and most powerful ways to awaken your whole system. Just a few minutes gets your heart pumping, stimulates lymphatic flow, and sharpens coordination and balance.

Why skipping works:

  • Encourages healthy circulation

  • Activates the lymphatic system

  • Improves agility and rhythm

  • Builds balance and lightness in the body

You don’t need a long workout.
You don’t need equipment beyond a rope (or even just the motion).

Set a timer for 5 minutes.
Find your rhythm.

Old teammates. Old rivals. Girls who tackled each other hard, marked each other tighter, argued with refs, and shared countless 90-minute battles over the years. Different clubs, different colors, same love for the game.

Today, they met at the beach in Langebaan. No whistles. No pressure. Just bare feet in the sand, a ball, the sound of the waves, and a perfect blue sky. A slow kick-about, a few laughs, some very questionable touches, and stories that somehow get better every time they’re told.

It wasn’t about winning or proving anything anymore. It was about friendship, memories, and the simple joy of still being able to pass a ball to someone who understands exactly what it means to you.

Football never really leaves you. It just changes pace - and sometimes, it takes you to the beach. ⚽🌊

There’s something powerful about Jacob’s Ladder in St James, Cape Town. The climb is honest work - no shortcuts, no rush - just you, the steps, and the rhythm of your breath.

A group of friends took on the ladder together, moving up and down the iconic steps, encouraging one another through the burn and celebrating every pause at the top. Between climbs, the sunshine warmed our backs while conversations flowed - fitness, nutrition, and how daily choices shape long-term health.

It wasn’t just a workout. It was a shared experience. Sweat mixed with laughter, knowledge exchanged alongside effort, and motivation built with every ascent. Jacob’s Ladder reminded us that fitness isn’t only about pushing the body - it’s about community, learning, and showing up consistently.

Hard work feels lighter when shared, and progress feels deeper when it’s paired with purpose. 🌿🏃‍♂️

The court was buzzing at the Indoor Padel Center in Tokai as Lindsey Dolman and Brentino Wessels, suited up in red, went head-to-head with Natasha Fortune and Ashraf Calvert in a high-energy showdown. From explosive rallies to quick reflex volleys, both teams brought intensity, teamwork, and serious grit.

 

The red team fought hard and kept the pressure on, but it was Natasha and Ashraf who found another gear - stringing together smart plays and clutch points to take the victory. Win or lose, the match delivered exactly what padel does best: fast-paced fitness, big smiles, and an unforgettable rush of friendly competition.

Nothing brings friends together like a little friendly competition! Lindsey Dolman, Thalea Smidt, Nicole October, and Brentino Wessels hit the courts at Bay Padel in Tokai, Cape Town, for an energetic game filled with laughter, teamwork, and a touch of rivalry.

 

After a thrilling back-and-forth match, the score ended in an exciting 10 -10 draw - proving everyone was a winner this round. But with bragging rights still up for grabs, a much-anticipated rematch is already on the cards!
